summer rant

Image
its been a while and i think the reason is two things. first of all summer. i am living my life as f* so ofc there is no time to sit down and write it all down. second reason is MY HEAD IS EXPLODING. the more i go out the more inspired i am to write. problem is am too busy partying/thinking that the whole rant is stuck in my head. am thinking about fashion and music pretty much nonstop and it's cluttering up in there.... wish i could write a book but i would need to seriously remove myself from the mess to write about it and that is not an option for me atm cus i'm vibing too hard. i can only do the hot takes i dont got time for the rant..... its hot takes from a hot mess. nothing less and definitely nothing more. i got a job offer from a big ass company in berlin asking me to work exclusively for them as a trendforecaster. i was tempted but had to say no in the end cus i belong to no one. i am my own boss. i cherish my volunteer coffee job in xtania. a job i took when i felt t...

AIRPORT GUIDE FOR CUNTS: DRESS UP AND RUN

Image
hi its me and i am blogging from the phone for the very first time! am sitting on a Ryanair plane to paris. Usually i belong to the easyjetset so this is interesting. have been traveling a lot lately and i am seing some patterns so here is my travel guide to cph airport not an advice but the truth: i always fly super early and always go to bed really late and pack/party all night. bad combo really. HOWEVER: my advice for packing is pick a character for ur trip. i chose business barbie for this trip so my suitcase contains three different waistcoasts, a pinstriped corsets, crisp shirts, a tie and suit pants and heels. ur tired the next day but the lack of sleep makes u electric in the airport  DRESS UP!!!! i've said it before......seing so many grey fruit of the loom tracksuits in the airport. teenagers go for leisure wear like they are stuck in this King Kylie era and dont know better but my many travels have taught me that dressing up gets u out of trouble. I used to be a sloppy t...

X and the city

pippa garner on the tonight show, 1982 frieze interview: "some of my best work i have done on ecstacy"  LINK hola i'm back! writing this from the countryside in jylland where im working this week teaching a class called GOSSIP! anyways its been a while as always, so here's the up and downs of my spring lyfestyle: X and the city i was in New York for a minute and had the best time as always. identifying as an american girl in DK gets me in trouble all the time, so it felt good to come home to mother. NYC girls are dramatic and chic. the grind is harder, cus they have bigger dreams than scandi girls yet no welfare system to support them. these girls know how to hustle and i feel at home here. in nyc u can be a creative director/trendforecaster/artist/dj/blogger/latte artist/hot bitch and no one asks u "so what do u actually do?" ppl dont question your bernadette coorporation thing out here cus no one sticks to one title unless its artist lol. saw pippa garner ...

WEEKEND REVIEW: the log lady and more

Image
its monday morning and im on my porch in xtania writing this cus the suns outand so are the tourists... am working on  my exhibition/popup at Copenhagen Contemporary. it's running for two months and the opening is on the 7th of march and you should come <3 save the date! ANYWAYS wanted to write a lil on the blog too and give u a review on this copenhagen weekend this weekend was giving varité so what happened? i don't really club atm so weekends start earlier, feels longer even tho they end faster thursday? did a vultures listening party at mÃ¥nefiskeren. there are some bangers on that album. did u check out ye's news channel? its sort of fab. its random news with rennaissance paintings. yews.news.  went to a gorgeous communal dinner in xtania. high ceilings, live music, all ages and vegan food. nothing annoying about this. then i went to an opening at palace enterprise in the inner city with a sculpture all star-stress. beer was served in small glasses. sculptures were i...

hot take on replica fashion

Image
today i did an open call for hot take requests on the blog. someone wrote thoughts on replica fashion  so here is my hot take: first thing i ever owned was a guccy cap. i still have it and its almost broken. its been fiteen years and i have had a real one in the meantime. didnt love it. donated it to charity in the end cus it didnt feel glam. i appreciated the design and the quality of a real one, but a gucci cap is another type of object than lets say an iris van herpen, mcqueen or a small emerging designer's work: actual art pieces. the gucci monogram represents something else. it represents mass production, which does not bother me at all. i'm drawn to it, but for different reasons of why a mcqueen makes me gag. to me, the gucci monogram is the mass media of fashion, the mtv logo in the corner. the place anybody can access. real or fake. the logo is strong enough to exist on a real leather suitcase to the plastic version thats laying in the street, looking up at you from a l...

american psycho and cphfw

Image
WORDS ARE TRENDING: A  word is worth a thousand pictures! fashion week has come to an end here in cph, and i just read american psycho. its a thick ass book but its a good one. watched the movie last night it got nothing on the book really. i found the book to be a masterpiece hot take on postmodern yuppie culture(takes one to know one!!) where the killings are metaphors for a culture thats fucked and the movie is just a vague representation of a killer. I do love the all the business card scenes in the movie. Like i wrote somewhere on this blog i have unpurposely started a collection of off-white thick embossed serif font business cards from rich men and in the movie u see why. anyways in the book patrick bateman describes every character's outfit when he sees them. he sees the look before the person. can u relate???  “Price is wearing a six-button wool and silk suit by Ermenegildo Zegna, a cotton shirt with French cuffs by Ike Behar, a Ralph Lauren silk tie and leather wing ...
